SPORT: MCILROY EUROPEAN TOUR’S PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Rory McIlroy has won the European Tour’s player of the month award for the third time this year.
The world number one claimed the fourth major title of his career in August by winning the US PGA Championship.
It’s the third time he’s won the award in four months – an achievement which has been matched just twice before, by Henrik Stenson last year and Ian Woosnam in 1987.
