CALLS FOR MORE SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS TO BE APPOINTED IN WEXFORD

There is an increased need for more school psychologists to be appointed in county Wexford.

New figures published show that twenty nine schools in the county are without the service of NEPS, the National Education Psychological Service.

This is way above the national average and is in the top five in the country.

A lack of an adequate NEPS service means children are having their psychological assessments delayed or outsourced.
