WINDS TO CALM AFTER STRONG STORM DORIS

Winds are easing as Storm Doris moves out over the Irish Sea.

However they will remain strong for a number of hours yet.

ESB power lines are down in parts of the country leading to power losses with a number of trees also reported down.

Both ferry sailings from Rosslare to Fishguard and Pembroke this morning have been cancelled

Met Eireann’s Joan Blackburn says the East is the worst hit – but things should get better as the day goes on:
