COULD BE WEEKS BEFORE WORKERS DECIDE ON LABOUR COURT RECOMMENDATION

It could take weeks before Bus Éireann drivers decide if they’ll accept a Labour Court recommendation to end the strike.

It’ll be revealed this lunchtime so workers are refusing to withdraw their pickets until then.

But the court’s ruling isn’t legally binding which means it may not lead to the end of the dispute.

The strike has already left commuters without services for 21 days in a row – the NBRU’s Dermot O’Leary says the wait could continue.
