DAIL TO VOTE ON WATER SERVICES COMMITTEE REPORT AT LUNCHTIME

The Dáil votes this lunchtime on the water services committee report.

Its expected to pass comfortably – effectively bringing an end to the charges introduced by the last Coalition.

But excessive usage levies will be introduced, which some say is the re-introduction of back-door charges.

Sinn Féin’s Eoin O’Broin says Fianna Fáil caved to Fine Gael demands.

But Fianna Fáil’s Barry Cowen says they did this deal with Fine Gael last year to provide a Government.
