HOUSING CRISIS MEASURES FOR UP TO 50,000 HOMES TO BE UNVEILED

Measures to deal with Ireland’s housing crisis will be unveiled today.

More than 800 sites owned by local authorities and public bodies are going to be put out for development for public and private housing.

It’s hoped 50,000 new homes will be built under the scheme.

The Construction Industry Federation’s Hubert Fitzpatrick says the key will be in the details of Minister Simon Coveney’s plans.
