VOTING IN THE FINE GAEL LEADERSHIP RACE TO BEGIN TODAY

21-thousand Fine Gael members will have their say on the party’s next leader when voting starts today.

Simon Coveney is the favourite among the general public, while Leo Varadkar has the backing of more Ministers.

The men squared off in their final debate of the campaign last night.

But the Chairman of the Fine Gael national executive, Gerry O’Connell, praised the man they’re vying to replace, Enda Kenny.
