30% RISE IN WOMEN VISITING FAMILY LAW COURTS OVER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

It appears more people are reporting incidents of domestic violence.

New figures from Dolphin House Family Law Court support service show 133 women visited the facility in the first three months of this year – a jump of 30 percent.

Margaret Martin – Director of Women’s Aid – says increased publicity also plays a part.
