MAIRE WHELAN APPOINTED ‘ABSOLUTELY WRONG’ WAY – HOWLIN

Labour party leader Brendan Howlin says the way the former Attorney General was appointed to the Court of Appeal was ‘absolutely wrong’.

Máire Whelan was given the job during Enda Kenny’s final Cabinet meeting, despite the fact that she never applied for it.

She’ll be paid 180-thousand Euro a year in her new role.

Brendan Howlin says the appointment was handled badly.
