‘SERIOUS’ SHORTAGE OF FEMALE LEADERS IN UNIVERSITIES – REPORT

There’s a serious shortage of women in senior roles in our universities – according to a new report.

The Higher Education Authority says only around one in five professors is female.

It’s also warning that no university has been run by a woman in this country in the last 400 years.

Trinity College Professor Jane Ohlmeyer says childcare is one of the issues holding women back.
