STRIKES STILL GO AHEAD IN GERMANY BUT NO RYANAIR FLIGHTS WERE CANCELLED

Ryanair claims it didn’t have to cancel any flights this morning despite a pilots’ strike in Germany.

It says most pilots ignored the walk out sparked by a row over union recognition.

A total of nine flights were delayed by the action which lasted just four hours.

Reuters airline correspondent Victoria Bryan, says it was mostly symbolic.
