ALMOST HALF A MILLION PEOPLE MISSED OUTPATIENT APPOINTMENTS IN 2017

The Health Minister says they need to examine why large numbers of people are missing outpatient appointments in hospitals.

Nearly half a million people didn’t turn up for appointments last year alone.

Current waiting lists show more than 500,000 people waiting to be seen around the country.

Minister Simon Harris says to cut down waiting times they need to figure out why so many appointments are missed.
