What’s your typical working day like? :
I start around 7am each morning preparing for the days programme, but the days vary as sometimes a news story could break or I may have to travel around the county to record an item. It is very important to me that the programme has its finger on the pulse of important events taking place. Basically my philosophy is, if a story breaks i'll do my best to cover it, no matter what time of day or night it happens and getting around the county is very important as real life listener stories are crucial.
Do you think you are famous? :
Its nice to be recognised (I dont know if you could call it fame). If a listener takes time to stop me in the street to discuss an issue or mention something they would ilke discussed on air, I am only too happy to listen. Reaction is very important. I am out and about a lot at various functions and matches etc. and I always welcome peoples thoughts and I have been very lucky to travel the length and breadth of the county in the role I do and love having a good chat on my travels.
