MINISTER PROMISES ACTION FOR NEW ROSS FLOOD VICTIMS
The Minister for the Environment has visited New Ross four days after areas of the town were flooded.
Phil Hogan says he is shocked by the scale of damage caused to businesses in the Marshmedows area of the town.
During a visit to the town on Saturday Minister Hogan promised action.
Meanwhile, the President is to visit householders in Cork and Limerick who’ve been affected by flooding today.
Michael D. Higgins will also see the damage caused to businesses by the high tides and torrential rainfall in recent days.
He’ll also be briefed on the ongoing clean up operations.
