A father of two from South West Wexford has died in an accident on his farm.

The body of thirty three year old Kevin Banville was found in a field near his home at Carrigadaggin, close to the Pinnacle landmark outside of New Ross.

It’s understood the accident happened as he was tending to cattle in the field.

Newbawn Parish Priest Fr. James Furlong said the community was devestated to learn of the death of Mr. Banville who was a popular member of the parish.

Fr. Furlong described Kevin Banville as a hard working family man.

He is survived by his wife and two young children.
