Wexford Senator Raises Concerns Over Maternity Services In The Region

WEXFORD SENATOR RAISES CONCERNS OVER MATERNITY SERVICES IN THE REGION

Wexford Fianna Fáil Senator Jim Walsh has raised concerns over the future of maternity services in County Wexford.

It follows a report into the West/North West region which Senator Walsh says shows the HSE is seriously considering downgrading maternity services at three hospitals in the region.

He says it would be illogical to conduct a report into just one region and not all of them and is now calling for clarification on whether a report was conducted into the South East Region.

Jim Walsh is calling for Wexford’s TDs to uncover whether the closure of maternity services is being considered at Wexford General Hospital.
