CO. WEXFORD WORST FOR DRINK DRIVING AND NOT WEARING A SEATBELT
County Wexford has the worst record in the country for drink driving and driving while not wearing a seatbelt.
The figures were released by the Department of Transport and published in today’s Irish Country Living Section of the Farmers Journal.
Wexford has the highest rate of offences for drink driving and no seat belts – being almost twice the national avareage for both offences.
Both offences incur a number of penalty points.
Almost 3,000 drivers have been disqualified from driving since the introduction of penalty points twelve years ago.
