GOOD NEWS ON THE JOBS FRONT IN WEXFORD

A new supermarket opening has led to the creation of 20 new jobs.

A new Aldi Store has opened today in Wexford Town, located on the Newtown Road, creating 20 new jobs.

The new store brings the total number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 111 and is the third in Wexford Town and seventh in Co. Wexford.

The company has almost doubled the number of Irish suppliers it works with since 2008 with a number of suppliers from County Wexford providing produce to the supermarket.

Nationally Aldi maintains over 22,000 jobs across the Irish food industry.

The first Aldi stores in Ireland opened in November 1999.
