SPORT: FERDINAND NEW DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL AT QPR
QPR have announced that Les Ferdinand is the club’s new director of football.
Owner Tony Fernandes says the ex-striker will have a mandate to develop Rangers from the academy to the first team.
It’s part of the restructuring of the coaching set-up in the wake of Harry Redknapp’s resignation as manager yesterday.
Ferdinand, in his new role, will oversee Chris Ramsey and Kevin Bond in caretaker charge of Rangers’ first team.
Coaches Glenn Hoddle and Joe Jordan have left the club.
