Tk Maxx Creates 40 Jobs In Wexford

TK MAXX CREATES 40 JOBS IN WEXFORD

A major retailer opened it’s doors for the first time in Wexford this morning.

GAA star Lee Chin and stylist Cathy O’Connor were on hand to officially open the new T.K Maxx store.

It’s creating over 40 new jobs at it’s unit in the Stonebridge complex on Paul Quay.

T.K. Maxx will occupy the largest ground floor retail space in the complex with space for two other retail units.

It’s the first major retail project in Wexford town since 2007.

The discount retailer had been planning to open last autumn, but an objection to An Bord Pleanala by a local businessman set the project back for several months before it was thrown out by the appeals board.

It’s now hoped the retailer will attract more business to the area for other shop owners.

A typical TK Maxx store stocks an average 50,000 items with daily deliveries bringing up to 10,000 new items to store every week.
