High Political Stakes For North’s First Minister

The first minister of Northern Ireland has called opponents who want her to resign “cowards”.

Arlene Foster addressed a half-empty assembly as members walked out in protest at her handling of a controversial environmental scheme.

It could cost taxpayers 400-million pounds sterling. Opposition parties want an independent inquiry, but Ms. Foster hit out at her opponents after they walked out of the Stormont assembly in protest earlier today.
