BODIES OF MAN AND WOMAN FOUND IN LIMERICK

Post mortem examinations are to be carried out on the bodies of a man and woman found in Limerick this morning.

The man is believed to be aged in his mid 50s, while the woman is in her early 60s.

It is thought they may have been renting the property where they were found at Boulaglass, near Askeaton.

Gardaí discovered their bodies in the early hours of this morning – however it is thought they may have been there for some time.

Chief reporter with The Herald newspaper, Conor Feehan, says someone contacted gardaí to raise the alarm.

“Gardaí were notified by a source that they should go to a property or a certain house and look in it, and they did search that house at 2:55am this morning” he said.

“We have yet to determine whether this person gave their name when they gave the information – although the impression we get is that it was an anonymous tip-off, and that they are now trying to find that person who had that information” he added.
