Cuba’s Castro Dies Aged 90

Tributes are being paid to former Cuban President Fidel Castro, who’s died aged 90.

His brother and the country’s current leader, Raul Castro, says the socialist revolutionary passed away in Havana overnight.

He’s been described as one of the defining leaders of the 20th century after defying the U.S for five decades.

President Michael D Higgins says he’ll be remembered as a ‘giant among global leaders’ – while there have been celebrations in Miami – where hundreds fled from his regime.
