Hundreds Die In Aleppo Assault

Syrian government forces claim to have retaken control of the largest rebel-held district in eastern Aleppo.

Human rights activists say 212 people have been killed in this latest assault on the city.

Masaken Hanano was the first part of the city to be taken over in the summer of 2012.

It’s understood more than 400 Syrian civilians have fled to the area – while 275,000 people are trapped in Aleppo.
