INVESTIGATIONS AFTER 4 MARINES AND GUNMAN DEAD IN US
The FBI says it has found no evidence the man who shot and killed four US Marines in Tennessee yesterday had a link to any international terrorist group.
It is carrying out background checks on Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (24), who was himself shot dead.
It is examining the possibility that he may have been inspired by Islamic State.
Andy Berke is the Mayor of Chattanooga, where the attacks took place.
“Our hearts are breaking for the families of these marines tonight – and we also know that there are others who have been injured today that we’re thinking about ” he said.
