The Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF), in partnership with Londis, has launched the Never Forgotten Night Walk 2025 and is inviting the people of Wexford to take part in this poignant and meaningful event. Scheduled for Friday, November 28th at 5pm, the event will see participants from across Ireland walking, jogging, or running 5km to remember loved ones lost and support those who are grieving.
This special evening serves as both a tribute to those who have passed and a vital fundraiser for IHF’s essential services, such as Nurses for Night Care and the Bereavement Support Line. Funds raised will directly support these programs, ensuring that those experiencing dying, death and bereavement in Ireland receive the care and support they need.
With an estimated 100 deaths every day in Ireland, and around 10 people bereaved for each death, the need for compassionate care is greater than ever. Londis, IHF’s official charity partner since 2023, has raised over €170,000 to date through fundraising initiatives, including contributions from selected Londis Own Brand products.
Paula O’Reilly, CEO of the Irish Hospice Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the support, saying, “The Never Forgotten Night Walk is a beautiful opportunity for communities to come together in remembrance of those we have loved and lost. Every step taken will help us continue our vital work supporting people through life’s most difficult moments.”
Conor Hayes, Sales Director at Londis, added, “Loss touches every community across Ireland and this walk is a heartfelt way to remember those we’ve lost while supporting those who are grieving. We encourage everyone to join us on November 28th, whether walking, jogging, or running, to make a real difference in the lives of others.”
