JUSTICE MINISTER SEEKS SUPPORT FOR NEW LAWS ON DIRECT PROVISION WORKERS

The Justice Minister is to ask for cross-party support for new laws allowing people in Direct Provision to work.

It follows a Supreme Court decision in May which ruled the ban on employment for asylum seekers is unconstitutional.

Yesterday Charlie Flanagan told the Seanad the government will lift the embargo in line with the judgement.
