LORETTO SCHOOL MOVE TO HAPPEN IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS – PRINCIPAL

The Principal of Loretto school in Wexford says he is optimistic the move from the Spa Well road premises to the new state of the Art facility will happen in the next few weeks.

The transfer to the multi million euro building at Kileens was delayed last month due to the collapse of the main contractor “Carillion”.

It’s believed at least one Wexford based company who carried out work on the building is owed thousands of euro.

Principal Billy O’Shea says he is more optimistic now after he met with the Department of Education and the NDFA National Development Funding Agency yesterday.

It’s understood negotiations are under way to find a caretaker authority to look after the building in the years ahead and to sign off on the final classification.
