Man Due In Court In Connection With The Death Of A Wexford Man In London

MAN DUE IN COURT IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF A WEXFORD MAN IN LONDON

A man is due in court in London today charged with the murder of a County Wexford man.

Michael Hunt’s body was discovered in an alley way last weekend.

A 21 year old man is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates court today after being arrested in London on Tuesday.

Michael Hunt, who was originally from County Wexford was found in a skip in South Norwood at around 7 o’clock last Saturday morning.

Details of a post mortem examination that was carried out on his body have not been released.

Locals who found his body alerted the emergency services. Ambulance personnel fought for Mr. Hunt’s life and he was rushed to King’s College Hospital in London where he died a short time later.

Mr. Hunt, who has family in the Kilmore Quay area left Wexford and moved to London around six years ago to find work.

He has been described as a well known and popular member of the community in London.
