MAY MENTIONS IRELAND IN FLORENCE BREXIT SPEECH

The British Prime-Minister says she still believes a hard Brexit is better than a bad deal, however she now thinks a great deal is possible.

Theresa May has given a conciliatory speech in which she proposed a 2-year transition period after 2019 where EU laws would still apply in the UK.

She has proposed an unprecedented security and intelligence treaty between the EU and the UK and said she owes it to all the people of Ireland to ensure a hard-won peace isn’t damaged with a physical border.
