More Debris Found On Reunion Island In Search For Mh370

MORE DEBRIS FOUND ON REUNION ISLAND IN SEARCH FOR MH370

A Malaysian team on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean is reported to have found a plane window and other aircraft debris.

Yesterday Malaysia’s government confirmed part of a Boeing 777 wing discovered there last week was from flight MH370 – which vanished last March with 239 people on board.

There’s nothing yet to suggest this new wreckage is linked to the missing plane.

It comes as officials in Australia have defended the way the search of the ocean was conducted, despite finding nothing for 17 months.

Oceanographer Dr Simon Boxall agrees they were scanning the right area.

“We may find that there’s other debris washing up – but bear in mind the bulk of the aircraft would have sunk” he said.

“So the search off south west Australia is still the correct place to be looking” he added.
