New Ross remains impassable due to ongoing flooding
The River Barrow has burst its banks both at Marshmeadows and Rosbercon where a number of cars had to be abandoned
Business premises at Marshmeadows are also flooded up to a depth of three feet
Motorists are asked to vaoid the town for the moment but the situation is expected to imrove as the tide abates
