Alan McGuire

Alan McGuire is a veteran broadcaster who started with South East Radio on its first day of broadcast, the 20th October 1989. His morning magazine/current affairs programme made him a household name throughout Co. Wexford and surrounding counties. Alan's support for the Irish Music Industry was recognised with a Fairplay For Airplay award. He has also been shortlisted for a Speech Presenter Of The Year award and has won PPI and IMRO awards for his fascinating wildlife documentaries broadcast on South East Radio. For many years his DriveTime show kept listeners informed and amused. These days Alan is happy to continue as the producer/presenter of the Saturday Show with its mixture of good music, good conversation and, of course, a focus on wildlife and environmental issues. Alan was also involved with his great friends and colleagues Don Conroy and the late Chris Wilson in publications such as the 'Wildlife Quiz and Amazing Facts' book, the 'Big, Big Movie Quiz' book and 'Wexford’s Wild Heritage'.
