SPORT: CALLS FOR REJECTION OF A GAA MOTION

Cork County board Chairman Bob Ryan has called on counties to shoot down the Antony Nash motion at Congress.

A motion is suggesting Nash’s style of penalties should be amended but Ryan has told the Irish Examiner he hopes hurling people will see how “nonsensical” the motion is.

Meanwhile there are two Fitzgibbon cup quarter finals this afternoon.

At 2.30 in Parnells GAA club in Coolock DIT host WIT while at 3.30 at the Mardyke in Cork UCC welcome UCD.
