SPORT: INCOMING IRELAND DEFENCE COACH TO WORK WITH MUNSTER

Munster have confirmed that incoming Ireland defence coach Andy Farrell will join Munster in a consultancy role for the next four months.

The former rugby league star who was part of England’s coaching ticket for their 2015 World cup campaign can’t work with an international team as part of his gardening leave however he can work with clubs.

Munster Rugby C.E.O Garrett Fitzgerald says they had been looking for additional support for their coaching staff and with the timely availability of an experienced coach such as Farrell they felt his inclusion would be hugely beneficial in assisting their coaching team.
