SPORT: IRELAND DRAW WITH POLAND TO KEEP EURO CAMPAIGN ALIVE

Ireland are still hanging on in their Euro 2016 qualifier group following last nights 1-1 draw with Poland at the Aviva.

It means we’re on 8 points while Germany and Scotland, who both won yesterday’s games, are on 10 and Poland lead on 11.

The Poles led 1-0 at the break after an uninspiring performance in the first half but things improved in the second half when Hoolahan dropped deeper at times and Mc Lean added pace off the bench.

Shane Long scored in injury time but before that we had hit the woodwork twice.
