SPORT: ONE CHANGE TO WOMEN’S RUGBY TEAM TO FACE ENGLAND

The Irish women’s rugby team to face England in Ashbourne on Friday night has been named and there’s only one change.

Hannah Tyrrell comes back into the starting 15 having completed her return to play protocols.

She’s joined by Alison Miller on the opposite wing and captain, Niamh Briggs at full back.

Jenny Murphy and Wexford’s Katie Fitzhenry make up the centre pairing while Nora Stapleton and Larissa Muldoon are named in the halfbacks.

Up front, Ruth O’Reilly, Gillian Bourke and Ailis Egan form the front row with Sophie Spence and Marie Louise Reilly named in the second row.

Paula Fitzpatrick, Claire Molloy and Heather O’Brien complete the pack.

Meanwhile Ireland under 20’s coach Nigel Carolan has named an unchanged team to the one that overcame France in their last outing of the championship a fortnight ago.

They face England in Donnybrook on Friday night.
