Talbot Collection Expands to Limerick with Acquisition of Absolute Hotel

The Talbot Collection has announced its acquisition of the prestigious Absolute Hotel in Limerick, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy.

This new acquisition is the group’s first property in Limerick, increasing its portfolio to seven hotels across Wexford, Dublin, Cork, Tipperary, Carlow and now Limerick along with a range of leisure and hospitality destinations.

Philip Gavin, Managing Director of the Talbot Collection, expressed his excitement about the new acquisition: “We’re proud to expand the Talbot Collection to Limerick, a city brimming with opportunity and energy. This investment reflects our continued confidence in the Irish hospitality industry and our commitment to innovation, investment, and people.”

Cormac Pettitt, Managing Director of the Pettitt Group, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the great reputation of the Absolute Hotel and the positive impact the acquisition will have on the group.

The acquisition is part of a broader expansion strategy, with recent multi-million-euro refurbishments completed at Talbot Hotels in Cork and Midleton. Over 800 employees work across the Talbot Collection, which has been recognized as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in Hospitality.
