THE LABOUR PARTY HOLDS ITS ANNUAL THINK IN TODAY IN WEXFORD

The Parliamentary Labour Party will gather for a two-day think-in today in Wexford Town for the first time under the leadership of Joan Burton.

Wexford is the venue for today and tomorrow for Labour, as the Party gathers for the first time in such a forum under Tánaiste Joan Burton.

Like Fine Gael, the party is likely to put itself on effective election footing.

They’ll discuss priorities for the budget – mainly how to give something back to people next month, and focus on the effective end of austerity.

But on their minds will be the weekend opinion poll showing the party up just one point to 8% under Joan Burton’s leadership.

Meanwhile Fianna Fáil heads to Roscommon and that poll will be on their minds too as Sinn féin continue to be well clear of them as the country’s second most popular party.
