RISE Community Fund Opens Grant Applications for National Schools in Co. Wexford to Boost Technology Use

The RISE Community Fund has announced that National Schools in Co. Wexford can now apply for cash grants to support their use of technology in education. This initiative is part of a broader effort to empower young people in rural communities by improving access to broadband and digital tools. Schools across Wexford are invited to apply for funding to enhance learning experiences, upgrade classroom technology, or improve school infrastructure using broadband.

Supported by National Broadband Ireland (NBI) and several corporate partners, including KPMG, Circet, TLI Group, Entegro and Obelisk, the RISE Community Fund aims to complement the Government’s National Broadband Plan as it continues its rollout across the country. NBI’s €88 million investment in Co. Wexford will bring high-speed fibre broadband to 24,000 homes, businesses, farms and schools. Already, over 20,300 premises in the county can access this high-speed service with take-up rates exceeding 60% in some areas.

The RISE Community Fund is inviting Wexford schools to submit proposals outlining how they plan to use the grant funding. Schools can apply for funding for digital learning initiatives, classroom technology, connectivity projects, or any other innovative uses of technology that benefit students, teachers and the wider school community.

Applications are open until February 14, 2026
