A Fianna Fail Councillor has challenged the latest unemployment figures for Wexford published by the Government.
Minister of State at the Department of Finance Michael D'Arcy says that as a result of the Government's Action Plan For Jobs 8,477 more people across Wexford are now in employment since 2012. However almost 11,000 people in Wexford are still without work Councillor Michael Sheehan maintains the figure of 14% reduction in unemployment is simply not true. Commenting on the figures Minister D'Arcy acknowledged that there is still a way to go to full and denied that the bulk of the new jobs in Wexford are low paid.
