The HSE says patients will only be discharged from hospitals for the Pope's visit if it's medically appropriate.
It's after it emerged that the main Dublin hospitals are trying to make space so they can deal with extra admissions. It's feared there could be a spike in casualties given the huge crowds coming to see the Pontiff next week.
