Wexford graduates begin careers with ESB as new intake gets underway

Graduates from County Wexford are among 78 new recruits who have begun ESB’s Graduate Development Programme.

The latest intake includes graduates from Irish and international third-level institutions across a range of disciplines including engineering, IT, HR, commercial, marketing and finance.

Wexford graduates are joining participants from counties including Kilkenny and Laois as part of the programme, which is designed to give young professionals hands-on experience across different areas of ESB.

The scheme forms part of the company’s wider recruitment drive as it works towards its Net Zero by 2040 strategy.

Graduates will work on major projects and assignments while also receiving mentoring from experienced ESB staff. The programme includes access to IT equipment and hybrid working arrangements.

ESB Executive Director of People and Organisation Development Sinéad Kilkelly said the company is committed to investing in the next generation of talent and giving graduates the opportunity to develop skills while contributing to major projects.

Recruitment for ESB’s 2027 Graduate Development Programme will open on Monday, 28 September.

Final-year and postgraduate students, including those from County Wexford, will be eligible to apply through the ESB website.
