Community Spotlights

South East Radio is launching a major new journalism initiative that will bring in-depth current affairs coverage directly to towns and villages across County Wexford that are often overlooked in mainstream media coverage.

Community Spotlights will see the South East Radio team visit communities throughout County Wexford over the next 12 months, shining a light on the issues, concerns and stories shaping everyday life in towns, villages and rural communities.

The project aims to strengthen trusted, independent local journalism by giving a voice to people and communities whose experiences and concerns may not always receive the attention they deserve.

Moving beyond the daily headlines, the series will explore the challenges and opportunities facing communities across Wexford, including access to healthcare and public services, agriculture and rural development, housing, transport, local businesses, immigration and integration, environmental issues and the future sustainability of rural communities.
