There are concerns the national grid may not be able to supply all of the country's electricity needs in the coming years.
It's because of increasing demand from data centres, electrified public transport and people using EV's and heat pumps in their homes.
Eirgrid is warning of 'a potentially challenging situation' between this year and 2028.
