England opened their Euro 2016 qualification campaign in winning fashion - beating Switzerland 2-0 in Basel. Two second half goals from Arsenal's Danny Welbeck secured a crucial three points for Roy Hodgson's side. The England manager claims things have been steadily improving during his reign. Elsewhere last night, Spain got back to winning ways with a 5-1 thrashing of Macedonia in Group C. While in Group G, Austria and Sweden drew one apiece. Tonight, Wales' first game in Group B is away to Andorra.
