monk appointed permanent manager of swansea
Swansea have confirmed Garry Monk as their new permanent manager. The club's former captain has been in temporary control since the sacking of Michael Laudrup in February, but has now been rewarded with a 3-year deal. In his 16 matches in charge he's overseen four Premier League wins, and helped the club away from the relegation zone. Chairman Huw Jenkins says that Monk represents all the strong values that the club represents.
