They were leading by 2 points and looked the likely winners but they shipped 1-9 in that last 10 minutes. The final score was Westmeath 1-21 Wexford 15 points. Captain Ciaran Lyng was Wexford's top scorer with 8 points. The Model County will now meet Down in the qualifiers on Saturday June 27th in Wexford Park.
