The Wexford Junior Footballers produced a poor performance last night in Gorey in the Leinster Junior Football Championship quarter-finals. They were beaten 1-18 to 1-09 by visitors Cavan. The damage was done in the first half when Wexford trailed 12 points to 3. They did recover in the second half with Michael O'Regan scoring a goal but they could never close the gap once Enda Reilly put one in the back of the net for Cavan.
