100 new jobs announced in co. waterford
100 jobs are being announced by a Waterford-based technology company. nearForm, which was set up three years ago, is opening new headquarters in Tramore. It has already hired 40 of the staff, with the remainder expected to come on stream within the next 18 months. The firm specialises in Node.js and microservices - these technologies allow teams of software programmers to build faster, more stable business platforms for large enterprises. nearForm counts international publishing giant Condé Nast, Universal and LittleBits Electronics among its clients. Next month, the company will hold the first ever conference in One World Trade Centre in New York - which will be co-hosted by Condé Nast. nearForm CEO Cian O'Maidín says recruitment is building. "We're 40 staff at present and we've got another five people coming in in the next month or so" he said. "We're going to be in excess of 100 people in the next 18 months, and possibly quite a bit sooner than that" he added.
